Patrick Candelaria Obituary
Patrick Candelaria, 58, beloved Husband, Son, Father, Brother, and Funny Man passed away peacefully surrounded by many, many family, friends, (and one enemy) on May 9, 2023. He graduated from Cathedral High School and UTEP and was a world-famous comedian who entertained audiences for over 30 years. He entered this world on June 17, 1964 in El Paso, TX, born to Robert and Lisa Candelaria. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Wendy Candelaria; daughter Marie Lopini Candelaria; brother Robert Milton Candelaria and wife Teresa; sister Barbara Candelaria; sister Elizabeth Candelaria; sister Theresa Candelaria; brother Tony Candelaria and wife Cathy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of life will be at 6:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home West, 480 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.

We met Patrick through his friend Daniel Herman. David and I had some laughs with him every time we saw him and his brother Robert. He made us laugh with his jokes as he was practicing to become a comedian. Happy to learn he made it. Sad that Patrick left us so soon. Heartfelt condolences to his family. A bright light has dimmed. I hadn't spoken to Patrick in a while, but deep down, I was always hoping for the best. There's no doubt in my mind that he was one of the funniest people I ever met in my life. He always made me laugh and always had a smile on his face. His personality always brightened the room. He'll definitely be missed, but
like I've said before, I know that this is not a forever goodbye. It's a "we'll see you again one day, Bud."
