PLYMOUTH---Patrick "Joe" Carbone, Jr passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at home with his wife and loveable dog at his side.
Born in Brockton, MA, son of the late Patrick J. Carbone, Sr and Catherine Keswick, he spent many years at various positions in Massachusetts before he moved to New Hampshire. His last job was as the Retail Food Service Manager at Plymouth State University, from which he retired in 2012.
Despite his gruff voice and outspoken ways, he had a huge, kind loving heart. He raised his son in NH from elementary school on. He had several good friends and loved his family more than anything.
Joe leaves behind his wife Gail; son, Michael (Noemi and their daughter Julie); sister, Patricia; brother, Chris (Robin); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth. He especially adored Roxy, his and Gail's little white dog who was always near him the last 7 years.
The family wishes to thank the Pemi Baker Hospice staff and the many Comfort Keepers who helped care for him as well as the support from his family and friends.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Mayhew Funeral Home is responsible for all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe's name to the NH Humane Society, 1305 Meredith Center Rd, Laconia NH 03246.
Arrangements are under the care of Mayhew Funeral Homes and Crematorium. To sign the online book of memories, please go to mayhewfuneralhomes.com.
