In Loving Memory of Patrick "Pat" Joseph Cregan, 84
Patrick passed away on June 8, 2025, at his home in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, surrounded by his family.
Pat was born and raised in the South Bronx, New York. His parents, Mary and John, were Irish immigrants who instilled in him a strong work ethic, and a love for the opportunities provided by the American way of life.
He proudly served in the National Guard of New York while beginning his career in the financial services industry. Over the years, he established his reputation in information technology and was highly regarded for his project management skills. During his career Pat worked on global projects for several prominent investment firms including Citibank, Lehman Brothers, and Deutsche Bank. After retiring from Deutsche Bank, he created his own company and continued his expertise as a project consultant for Prospect 33 in New York. Later, after fully retiring to stay home with his family, he kept up with his favorite pastime of researching and investing in stocks.
In 1981, Pat met his beloved wife Linda Ensminger, while they were working together at Chemical Bank in New York City. They later relocated to New Jersey, building a life together filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Pat is predeceased by his sister Eleanor, brother John, and daughter Linda. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, and his children, Steven, Michael and Susan. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Pat was a true Irishman who embraced his heritage. He loved a fun party, the Irish jig, traveling and a pint at the Pub. He will be remembered for his tireless energy, ability to solve problems, and truly living life to the fullest.
