In the quiet corridors of time, on the 9th day of March in the year 2025, the world bid farewell to a cherished soul, Patrick Demery, who gracefully departed this earthly plane at the age of 81. Born in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, New York, on September 25, 1943, Patrick embodied the spirit of resilience, joy, and unwavering love that touched all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.

Patrick's journey through life was marked by his deep love for family, a devotion that radiated profoundly in every aspect of his being. He leaves behind his beloved significant other, Terry Spinosa, whose shared moments of warmth and laughter have created a tapestry of memories that will forever adorn their hearts. As a devoted father, he was proud of his daughters, Donna McCabe, married to Michael, and Laura Burshtein,and her late husband Alex, who navigated life's vicissitudes with the strength inherited from their father. They carried forth the values of compassion and tenacity that Patrick so passionately espoused.

In addition to his immediate family, Patrick’s legacy is further enriched by the joyful presence of his grandchildren, Katie and her husband Doug, Michael, Patrick and his fiancée Jenna, April, and Aidan. Each of them was a source of pride and delight, embodying the spirit of their grandfather in myriad ways. His heart swelled with joy as he embraced the role of great-grandfather to Ryan and Danny, who illuminated his later years with their innocent wonder and laughter.

Patrick’s life was not without its sorrows. He mourned the loss of his son, Michael, and his beloved wife, Diane, whose absence carved a chasm in his heart yet only deepened the bond he shared with those who remained. As he continued his journey, he carried their memories with him, honoring their legacies in the tenderness with which he engaged with those around him.

In celebration of his life, visitation services will be held at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY, on March 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Following this, a Mass in his memory will take place at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, situated at 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY, at 11:15 AM on March 13, 2025.
