Max, I share your sadness, in a different way of course. Sharon was so full of love and compassion even with her Alzheimer's.She was always there to help everyone, both residents and staff. I would give her her clip board, paper and pen, and off she would go on her mission, in her very own loving way. I wish I would have known her before she had Alzheimer's. I am sure we would have been great friends.
Your love and devotion for her was truly amazing. I appreciated all of your stories. You and your daughters were so good to Sharon. I know it was a difficult journey, she is enjoying her second life in Heaven. You have your own special Angel now.
Thank you for sharing her with me in her final years of life here on earth. I truly miss her. If you need to talk, you have my number and I have yours. Please don't hesitate to call.
Love and Friendship,
Colleen and Mark

I will never forget how sweet and gentle this amazing woman was with The Summit's youngest children. She was my daughter's co-teacher in her Kindergarten class. She was loving, kind, and respectful of everyone especially of little children. She was always so happy to share the great things going on in the curriculum. She loved teaching the unique units of study and sharing her knowledge of geography, science, and the arts! She was truly a lovely person who was deeply appreciated by all- the children, the parents and her colleagues. Sharon was a gift to The Summit community for many many years and will always be dearly remembered.

My prayers and condolences go out to Max and to Sharon's children, grandchildren and loved ones. I expect this journey has been long and painful. Alzheimer's has no boundaries and ultimately takes so many loved ones from us. Remember the good times and hold on to those memories. Sharon was loved by so many of our children, parents, faculty and staff at The Summit. Thank you for sharing her with us. Always, Jolene Barton
