Patrick S Doyle

Patrick S. Doyle, 70, of North East passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on December 15, 1955 in Erie, PA to the late Archie and Mary E. (Vella) Doyle.

Pat graduated from North East High School in 1973 and worked in oil and gas for 45 years. He was employed at Envirogas Inc. and later at Range Resources where he worked from 2005 to 2020 until retirement.

He was a member of St. Gregory Church, North East VFW Post 4789, North East American Legion Post 105, Brotherhood of St. Joseph Club, East Erie Moose Lodge, and the Erie Siebenbuerger Club.

Pat was an avid New York Jets and Los Angles Dodgers fan and enjoyed watching the Jets every Sunday with his sister, Maureen. He loved sports and played in the North East and Erie County Softball Leagues for many years. Pat had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He loved his family and friends and always put others before himself. Pat will be sadly missed by all who deeply loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Captain Patrick Doyle, Jr.; brothers, Robert and Tommy Doyle; nephew, Michael Doyle; niece, Mary Doyle King; and brother-in-law, Harry Gratto.

Pat is survived by his sister, Maureen Gratto; brothers, Joseph Doyle (Barbara) and Mickey Doyle (Carol) all of North East; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday January 11th from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Fr. Thomas Brooks. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.
