COEYMANS HOLLOW - It is with heavy hearts we share the news of Patrick L. Dunn Sr.'s passing, on January 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Dunn; his brothers, Jack Dunn, Michael Dunn and Robert Dunn. Pat served 21 years on the Albany Police Force before retiring, he was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 291.
He enjoyed hunting, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He was always up to having a picnic to gather the ones he loved around him. In his later years, he truly enjoyed spending time with the apples of his eyes, Ella, Alya and Harper Gorman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Maude Dunn, of Coeymans Hollow; his three children, Patrick L. (Sherry) Dunn, of New Baltimore, Doris (Tom) Secore, of Selkirk, and Robert Dunn, of Coeymans Hollow; his grandchildren, Joseph, Dustin, Caitlin, Mark, Meghan, Garrett, Derek, Kyle and Katie; and his 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharron (Robert) Bucci, Deanna; and the late Jesse J. Taber, Christina (Dan) Smith, Mary (Jack) Kent; and half-sister, Cassey Doppelheuer; along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 3 to 7 p.m. Interment in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
