Patrick Dutton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home - Farmington on Nov. 11, 2023.
Patrick James Dutton, age 79, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated veteran, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at his home in Caseville, Michigan.
Patrick was born June 22, 1944, in Detroit, the son of Elmer and Beatrice (Wing) Dutton.
After graduating from Cheboygan Catholic High School in Cheboygan, Patrick embarked on a journey that would shape his character and define his legacy. On January 18, 1966, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Madley, in Farmington. Their union was marked by love, resilience, and mutual support, lasting for 57 years.
Patrick was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His interests and passions included bowling, playing euchre, watching birds on his feeders, gardening which included having a lawn that would rival most golf courses and playing the lottery.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Julie (Carl) Zatsick, Pam (Mike) Kline, Patty Clifford, Michelle Saldana, and Steven (Melena) Dutton; grandchildren, Zach, Jake, Amanda, Josh, Joe, Tim, Rachel, Sean, Cece, Gabi, Xavier, Alex, and Stephen; brother of Ray (Leianna), George (Laura), and Danny (Sandy); and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly, Patrick was preceded in death by siblings, Chuck, Theresa, and Dean.
The Dutton family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 14, 2-8 pm, at the funeral home.
A funeral service, including Military Honors, will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 11 am, also at the funeral home.
The interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
