Dougherty Funeral Home - HibbingPatrick Fatticci, age 79, of Hibbing, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation in Hibbing. He was born on November 12, 1945, to Michael and Elizabeth (Panyan) Fatticci in Hibbing.
Pat graduated with the Hibbing High School class of 1964. Following graduation, he attended two years of junior college in Hibbing and went on to briefly attend Saint Cloud State University. In 1968 he was joined in marriage to Janet Johnson at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Pat worked for the USPS as a mail carrier in Cloquet starting in 1970. In 1980 he accepted a position as postmaster at the post office in Keewatin, where he worked until his retirement in 2000. Pat volunteered for numerous organizations including Aviation Days and the Hull-Rust Mine View, where he was able to share his interest and knowledge about the mining operations with numerous visitors. Pat was very involved with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, volunteering at pancake breakfasts and opening up the church in the mornings for various services and events. Pat was an excellent cook - antipasto, ravioli and making Italian sausage were his specialties. He also enjoyed gardening, canning and in his younger years hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Jan, Hibbing, MN, children, Katie (Paul) Waller, Cloquet, MN, Tony (Jill) Fatticci, Hibbing, MN, Joe (Serina) Fatticci, Hibbing, MN, brother, Mark Fatticci, Jamestown, ND, grandkids, Gianna, Vincent, Enzo and Nina Fatticci.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Liz, sister Michelle, father-in-law and mother-in-law Kermit and Mary Johnson.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. No visitation will be held. Private inurnment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery Columbarium.
Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, MN.
