Patrick R. "Pat" Field Sr.

Patrick R. "Pat" Field, Sr, age 79 of L'Anse, MI passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. He was born in L'Anse MI on June 20, 1945 the son of the late Raymond "Pat" and Frances (Bolton) Field. Pat graduated from L'Anse High School in 1964. He joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Pat married the former Joyce Lofquist in L'Anse in 1974. He retired from the Merchant Marines in 2009 following 41 years on the Ore Boats working with Ford, Oglebay Norton, and Wisconsin Michigan. Pat was a member of the Baraga American Legion Post #444.
Pat was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling to Alaska, going to the casino and riding in the woods.
Pat is survived by his loving wife Joyce of L'Anse, sons James Tahtinen of Harvey, Jason Field of Maryland, Christopher Field of L'Anse, and Lee Field of Minnesota, grandchildren Marissa, Krysta, Charles, Emma, Ruby, and Eddie. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick R. Field, Jr, his mother and father, and his step-father Otto Bennink.
