Patrick Harte Obituary

Harte, Patrick W. LOUDONVILLE Patrick W. Harte, 83, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 29, 2022. Born in Albany, he was the son of Patrick and Marian Kathleen Bromley Harte. Patrick was a graduate of Vincentian Institute. He was longtime employee of Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, where he took great pride in the care and safety of his community as a Hot Stick Lineman. If you are familiar with the man on the top of the utility pole in the sleet, snow, or rain, that would be our dad. Pat enjoyed working with his hands and could fix almost anything. He was the beloved husband of the late Therese DeMatteo; loving father of Tara M. Harte-Pierce (Michael) and Bernadette A. Harte; cherished grandfather of Sierra R. Pierce and Kyle P. Harte; brother of Phyllis Cooney (Paul); uncle of Patrick Cooney and Kathleen Knight (Tony); and cousin of Phyllis Harte of Ireland, Patricia Mallisson and Eileen Hislop. The family would like to express special gratitude to his private caregivers, Eufo and Martina, his son-in-law, Michael, and The Community Hospice for their compassion and care at the end of his life. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patrick's family on Thursday, September 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. His funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, immediately following the Mass. Those wishing to remember Patrick in a special way may send a contribution to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT, 06082. Pat,so sorry that you have left us behind.
You were a great man and a friend to all.
I always enjoyed working on any job that you had charge of as I knew that you had everything under control.
I last saw you at the funeral of another of our former coworkers and you expressed how lonely you were without the love of your life,so all of your family should be comforted in knowing that the two of you are together again.
Rest In Peace and may God bless you.
