Patrick Wayne Lee, age 58, was born on August 19, 1967, and passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2025, following a diagnosis of neurodegenerative brain atrophy and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

Patrick was the beloved son of the late Wayne and Kathleen Lee and a devoted life partner to Dr. Kay Johnson, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. He was a cherished brother to Scott (Debra) Lee and Brenda (Adam) Warrenburg, and a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews who meant the world to him.

A proud graduate of Peterson High School, Patrick was a standout athlete. In 1986, he helped lead the Peterson Tigers boys’ basketball team to a third-place state finish, an accomplishment he remained proud of throughout his life. He was also known for his football prowess, excelling both in high school and during his college years, where his strength, determination and team -first spirit left a lasting impression.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University in Criminology and Sociology. He spent over 20 years as the co-owner of Lee’s Painting, working alongside his brother to build a business rooted in hard work, dedication and integrity.

Patrick loved the outdoors and life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, motorcycling, concerts, Jeeping and many memorable beach vacations. At home, he found great joy in the companionship of his beloved Corgis, Eddie and Frankie, who were a constant source of comfort and happiness. In later years, Patrick stepped away from work to care for his aging parents, a role he fulfilled with deep love, patience and devotion.

Patrick is survived by his life partner Dr. Kay Johnson; his siblings Scott (Debra) Lee and Brenda (Adam) Warrenburg; and his nieces and nephews Ruth, Christine, Susan, Nicole (Matt), Matt (Jessi), Dylan (Jessica), Jared (Lexi), Heather (Jesse) and Jennifer (Joe).

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Kathleen Lee; his uncles Curtis Lee, Lyle Lee and Brad Friedrich; and his great-nephew James Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Peterson Legion on Saturday, January 17th, at 3:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Patrick’s life, share memories and celebrate a man who lived fully, loved deeply and left a lasting legacy.
