I was an employee of the Village of Ridgewood the entire length of Pat´s mayorship. He was a terrific mayor and great person. My sympathy to the family.

Mr. Mancuso was a natural leader and a model citizen.
An OLMC parishioner, Mr. Mancuso's unconditional love for his family, his friends and his neighbors shone through naturally, including, and probably most especially, when it was needed most.
One ordinary Sunday morning, during consecration of the Holy Eucharist, an elderly parishioner seated in an aisle seat suddenly slumped over with what appeared to be a cardiac event. The priest and celebrant halted the consecration, but otherwise, frankly, froze. Other nearby parishioners, apparently briefly shocked, initially, similarly, did nothing. Who, though, snapped into action, from a few aisles away? Why, Mr. Mancuso, of course.
Mr. Mancuso, the natural leader, saw to it that the ailing man received all the care he needed, starting with personally preventing him from falling to the hard floor beneath, and thereby potentially suffering further injury.
Just another day in the office for a great man--a great Ridgewood man, whom in turn was greatly loved, and will be sorely missed. In particular by this classmate of Mr. Mancuso's son Pat (RHS Class of 1985), of whom he was always very proud (and for every good reason).
Deus te benedicat, Patricius.
Requiescat in pace.
