DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory - EspanolaIt is with huge sadness to announce the passing of our Patrick David Martinez. He went to his Eternal Sleep on December 31, 2025. He was a Veteran and had an Associates Degree in Business.
Patrick was profoundly sad when his dearest mother passed away a year and a half ago! His wonderful friends, like family helped him to cope!
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Ercilia Trujillo; brother Henry "Adelmo" Trujillo; step-father Henry Trujillo; grandmother Amanda Naranjo; father Genero Martinez; uncle Leonard and aunt Evelyn, uncle Floyd; step-brother Marvin Naranjo.
He is survived by son Mario Martinez; brother Leonard Martinez (Esther) from Albuquerque; aunt JoAnn Valdez (Joe) from Tierra Amarilla, aunt Doris (Arsenio) from Rio Chama and aunt Virginia from Espanola; niece Melanie and Lola from Espanola; cousins like brothers to him, Ross Griego and Eloy Torrez (Virginia). He leaves behind many other relatives and his loving friends.
Huge "Special Thanks" to Pastor Mike, sister Gloria & family; to Ross Griego (Patrick's best friend), who helped me with Military Honors.
"Special Thanks" to Doug Smith, landlord, caregiver and who always watching over him; and to all of Patrick's loving friends who helped in. Thank you my loving Arsenio ..... Doris.
Father God (Yah) Thank you for always loving All you children. You tell us "I will never leave you, nor forsake you!" Your love and mercy are indescribable! You just want our love in return!
Funeral Service will take place at the Rock Christian Fellowship, with wonderful Pastor Mike on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Espanola, NM after the services.
