Patrick Murphy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 11, 2025.
Patrick Byron Murphy, Sr., age 56 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at his home. Born on December 5, 1968, he was the son of the late Ronald Frank Murphy, Sr. and Virginia Lee Chaney. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Ann Hundley; brother, Jerry Eugene Clemons; and a grandson, Kasen Andrew Murphy.
Patrick Sr. loved his family more than anything. His wife, his children, and his grandchildren were his world. He loved to work on just about anything that needed fixing. He would talk on the phone with his best friend, Jonathan, for hours about working on motorcycles, four-wheelers, and many other things. He loved to soup up his remote-controlled cars and race them around the yard. He had more tools than anyone I have ever known; we like to call it a "collection" at this point. He had a fun obsession with flashlights. All around he was the best husband, Dad, and Paw-Paw that anyone could ever ask for.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Belinda Dae Murphy; daughter, Stephanie Elaine Murphy (Dalton Burleson); son, Patrick Byron Murphy Jr. (Tiffany Bryant); grandson, Byron James Robinson, and his father, Gabriel Robinson; granddaughter, Kadence Alison Murphy, and her mother, Amanda Garland; sister, Sheila Kay Griffis (Tommy Griffis), brothers: Timothy Earl Clemons, Ronald Frank Murphy, Jr., and all nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, NC. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service for visitation. Reverend David Heaton will be officiating.
Donations may be made to assist with Patrick's funeral expenses, as well as support the family during this hard time.
Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Murphy family.
