The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Pat and Ginny will take place at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Father David Funk O.F.M.
Patrick “Pat” J. Laughrin, age 87, of rural Hilbert, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026.
Pat was born on July 11, 1938 in Appleton, son of the late John G. and Frances M. (Carroll) Laughrin. Pat lived his entire life in Hilbert, and he was a graduate of Hilbert High School, class of 1956. He met Virginia “Ginny” E. Laughrin at the Red Wood Bar. The two were married on August 18, 1962 in Calumet County. Pat worked as an assessor for various towns and villages, he was an auctioneer for a number of years, and he sold real estate. Pat served his community for many decades in multiple ways. He was a member of the Hilbert School Board and was on the Calumet County Board, most notably on the Land and Water Conservation Committee. Pat was also an avid Brewer fan. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Pat is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law: Tom (Jean) Laughrin of Hilbert and the late Michael P. (Sue) Laughrin of Lincoln, NE; one daughter and son-in-law: Betty (Tracy) Bergquist of Marshall, WI; grandchildren: Michaela (Gabe) Williamson, David (Kayla) Laughrin, Ryan Laughrin, Amanda (Kole) Landwehr, Jon (fiancee’ Kayleigh) Bergquist, Andy Bergquist; 6 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; one sister: Carol Jahnke; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny on January 9, 2026; one son: Michael P.; one daughter: Cynthia F.; his brother, John; and in-laws.
