Patrick Julian Polson of Asheville, NC passed away unexpectedly January 30, 2026. He would have been 38 years old on March 31st. He was known for his infectious energy, boundless kindness, warm spirit, and enduring strength. Patrick had a unique ability to bring light and laughter into the lives of those around him. He was a talented aspiring hip hop artist and loved music in general. He was also very skilled in construction and welding work. He loved cooking and spending time outdoors with loved ones. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Ann Johnson and father, Robin Lee Polson.

He is survived by his 6 yr. old son, Kaydon, and Kaydon's mother, Jessica Grant of Leicester, NC; his sisters, Heather C. Banks Eggert (husband, Dr. Kenneth S. Eggert) of Marshall, NC, and Tysa M. Banks (partner, Kate Mueller) of Harpswell, ME; and his grandmother, Grace Johnson of Asheville, along with honorary grandmother Glady Richardson of Asheville.

Also surviving loved ones include his uncles, Tracy Polson of Texas and Frank Richardson, of Asheville; Aunts, Sharon Freeman, Frankie Holly, and Prentice Richardson of Asheville; Pattie Weaver of High Point, NC; Aunts, Susan Johnson Aurelia (Charley) of Glenville, NC, Amy Johnson Redding of Asheville and Joan Caldwell (& Family) of Marshall, NC. He is further survived by his cousins, Matt Redding of Asheville, Nina Gause of Texas (Asheville) and her children Tae & Zae Gause, and Darryl Jeffries; Juliette Gause- the late Jon Gause's daughter; as well as Lauren Mzarka, Molly McCarson, and Amanda McCarson of Greenville, SC; Step-brother Justin Mills (wife Keke) of Marshall, NC. He is also survived by close friend Pattie Reed and son Justin Reed of Asheville.

He will forever be missed by many family and friends who loved him.

There will be a celebration of his life Sunday, March 29th at 2pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 238 S French Broad Ave., Asheville, NC.
