Patrick Stanley Racut

Patrick Stanley Racut, age 79, born February 21, 1945, passed away July 28, 2024. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Stanley and Patricia Racut, both deceased. Beloved husband of 57 years to Linda (nee Sherry). Loving father of Shari, Michael, and Kimberly. Dearest brother of Kathryn Dyroff, Joseph Racut, Corena (Mike Bowling), Valerie Cavanaugh and Frank Racut (Terry). Cherished uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle to many. Also survived by cousins and many dear friends. 

Patrick served in the Marines and retired from RTA where he worked in the electrical maintenance department. He enjoyed a long retirement, golfing with friends, woodworking in the garage, playing darts, and spending time with friends. He loved a good Manhattan, was a master of all trades, and his favorite pastime was playing his accordion in a polka band. 

A Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Stanislaus Church 3649 E 65th St, Cleveland, OH 44105, the family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to Mass. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, OH 44273.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
