I stopped before opening the door to leave and looked at him for what would be the last time. He nodded, I held up my hand with a goodbye wave and opened the door. Tears fell a little harder as I drove. He was funny as hell but never silly or goofy. I hope the pictures I brought to him including a really good one of him and Ashley fell into the right hands and make it here. Pat, (Shhhnake) it was an experience knowing you. Glad I could give you a goodbye hug.

I was so so sorry to hear about Patrick's passing. I'm his half sister on our dad's side. We reconnected about 24 yrs ago and have stayed in touch at least annually since then. He was eight years older than me, and we first met when he was a teenager, a hippie, and I thought he was so cool. He had long blonde hair and was really mellow and sweet. I loved when he visited.
I'm sorry he struggled in his last years with health issues, but he enjoyed a lot of fun times with his good friends up until then. And his friends carried him until he passed. He was a lucky guy.
