Patrick D. Reardon (Toot), aged 59, passed away at home on Saturday, June 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Little Falls, he currently resided at Peck Lake, Gloversville, NY, fulfilling a life-long dream of owning a place on a lake in the Adirondacks.
Patrick was born on November 19, 1965, in Little Falls, NY, the son of the late Patrick A. and Jean E. (Roach) Reardon. He attended Little Falls schools and graduated with the Class of 1983. He was a graduate of Empire State College.
He was united in marriage to Lisa A. Fansler on September 25, 1993. He was the proud father of Shelby L. (Jason) Campione, Sara E. Reardon (Kaitlyn Cameron), and Patrick E. Reardon.
Patrick started his career with the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYSDOCCS) as a Correctional Officer and worked his way up, holding a multitude of different positions across the State of New York. He retired after 35 years as the Supervising Superintendent of the Great Meadow Hub. He earned the respect and friendship of so many people along the way, especially those friends at the Main Office in Albany, Marcy Correctional Facility, Elmira Correctional Facility, and Hale Creek Correctional Facility. He was a 34-year member of the Little Falls Elks club, serving as Exalted Ruler in 2002 and was elected Elk of the Year in 2012. He also served as Commissioner on the Little Falls Police and Fire Board for many years.
Patrick was known as "Toot" to his family and friends. Toot liked nothing more than watching his kids participate in sports through the years. He was an avid snowmobiler and a member of multiple snowmobile clubs. When there wasn't snow, he enjoyed kayaking, boating, camping and hiking in the Adirondacks. He was a NASCAR fan and loved listening to music and attending concerts (especially Pink Floyd) with his family and friends. The role of father and grandfather were his favorites and he was endlessly entertained by his 2 grandsons. In true Irish fashion, Toot loved to talk, laugh and have a few beers. If you knew Toot, you knew he especially loved when someone bought him a beer because he usually had "rabbit ears".
Besides his loving wife and children, he is survived by his 2 grandsons, Jase P. and Jameson P. Campione, who always made him smile. He is also survived by his 3 sisters, Maureen Petkovsek, Sheila Reardon-Gilman (Jeff), and Abby Kosty; his mother-in-law, Jo Klock; sisters-in-law, Mary Reardon, Jodi (David) Hallenbeck, Linda Klock and brother-in-law, Timothy (Dawn) Klock; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and amazing friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Pat and Jean; father-in-law, Ray Klock and his brothers, Daniel, Donald and Shawn Reardon.
Thank you to our family and friends for the amazing support during this past year. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Salisbury Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club Trail Fund, 717 Curtiss Road, Salisbury Center, NY 13454.
Calling hours will be held at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm with an Elks Funeral Service at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00am followed by burial at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetary on Shells Bush Road with the NYSDOCCS Pipe Band. Please join us to celebrate Toot's life at the Little Falls Elks at 12:30pm.

Lisa and family,

Mike and I were so saddened to hear about Toot passing away. He was such a genuinely nice person who always had a smile and a friendly greeting for everyone. I remember the last time that we saw him a few years ago at the Elks during Canal Days. We will remember his smile and his warm and kind heart. We will keep all of you in our prayers during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Lisa, the entire Reardon family and Toot´s many friends on his passing. For as long as I can remember and through the last time I saw him, Toot was always so remarkably sincere, kind and considerate. He had no airs, ever. He embodied all the best traits of his parents and more. The community and the world were better places for his having been in our lives and he brought out the better angels in all of us. I will miss seeing him whenever I am back home in LIttle Falls and hope your memories of his kindness bring you all some comfort in your grief.
