Dear Helen, Sarah , Keith and your extended families,

Thank you for the opportunity to re- read the Pat´s obituary, it brought back many memories of our youth together, now more than 70 years old, I was one of those cousins back in the 40´s and 50´s who lived for summer vacations on POP´s farm when the Romano family Uncle Pat, Aunt Mary, Anthony, Pat and Gary would spend 2 or 3 weeks on Pops farm. We had many, many good times filled with games, horseplay and adventures in the orchards and the woods in the farm area. Pat was always the spark plug of the games with his athletic ability, even at a young age. He was a unique and talented individual which was demonstrated by his academic accomplishments and his continued participation in his participation the ball games and golf as he grew older. He always had a smile and a positive outlook.

It was a pleasure to relive the memories of Pat. Tony and Gary on Pops farm. Looking back it was the best time of our lives.

Thank you,

Leon Zuchowski ( Lee)

I had the pleasure and honor of teaching with Pat for nearly 30 years. He was a great teacher, a great friend, and a great athlete. He was remarkable in so many ways. As department chair, he was the fairest possible boss that anyone could have. He never shirked or complained about the extra duties. He was always available for extra help sessions or faculty consultations. Pat was probably the best and most respected teacher I have ever known. He was an inspiration to all of us.

I was one of the cousins at Pop´s farm. It was late 40´s, early 50´s and my cousin Frankie and I would look forward to Aunt Mary and Uncle Pat bringing Anthony, Patty and Gary to the farm for a two week summer visit. The times we spent picking fruit, riding on an old tractor/trailer, climbing trees and playing hide and seek in the old barn were great. We looked forward to the visits each year. Pat was the smallest of us then, with the curliest hair and biggest smile........always he best ball player. He was a ball player to the end..... he will be remembered and missed. Lee
