All my love and prayers to the Rooney family on the loss of Pat. He will be missed by all

It was with absolute shock and deep sorrow that I have learned of Pat's passing, just moments ago. May the Lord have mercy on his soul and may he rest in peace.

Pat was one of three Hibernians, each one named Pat, who hung around together and attended Hibernian conventions and other meetings together. A close friend who travelled with us was Harry Murphy, RIP, who when he called out the name Pat, he received three answers. Sad to say that the third Pat, Pat Butler, RIP, passed to his his eternal reward several years ago.

I am deeply saddened that I am the lone survivor of the three Pats. I always enjoyed my long telephone conversations with Pat Rooney. He was a great conversationalist and was very knowledgeable about the politicians and the the state of the nation which we often talked about for hours. I shall miss him deeply.
