Patrick Earl Saladin, 83, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 6, 2025, in San Angelo. Patrick was born February 21, 1942, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Floyd and Mary Routhier Saladin. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault Area High School in 1960. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably for 30 years. He married Patricia Franklin on August 2, 2001, and they shared 24 beautiful years together. His last duty station was Goodfellow Air Force Base, where he continued working in civil service for 20 more years until his retirement. Patrick enjoyed volunteering and helping others. He was a volunteer at Shannon Medical Center here in San Angelo for over 10 years. In his spare time, Patrick loved reading mystery and thriller novels, playing trivial pursuit and traveling all over the United States with his wife Patricia. Patrick was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family and service to others. His memory will live on in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss him! Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Ronald Ray Saladin, and his brother Peter “Corkey” Saladin. He is survived by his children, Donald Saladin (Crystal), of Sacramento, CA, Shawn Saladin (Sandy), of Edinburg, TX and Dana Saladin Mondragon (Enrique), of Edgewood, NM; his five grandchildren, Tiffany, Sevanah, Sterling, Russell and Michael; five great grandchildren; his sister, Lenore Saladin (Paul), of Skokie, IL; two brothers, Paul Saladin, of Tulsa, OK and Phillip Saladin (Tammy), of St. Augustine FL; two nephews, Dallas Saladin (Kasey), of Jacksonville, FL and James Saladin, of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his special dog “Poppy” who he dearly loved. The memorial mass for Patrick will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Holy angels Catholic Church with Very Rev. Santiago Udayar as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Holy Angels Catholic Church Columbarium.
