Patrick Cal Shepherd, 79, passed away on August 2, 2025.
Patrick was born on October 10, 1945, in San Diego, California. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for two years, including service in Vietnam. After returning home, Patrick married and welcomed his daughter, Danielle, who was his pride and joy.
He built a career as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Union, where he worked diligently for many years.
Patrick loved his Harley's. He enjoyed riding along Mission Bay, spending time in the desert any time of the year, and was a proud member of the VFW. He also rode with a motorcycle club in San Diego, 'The Bellyman'.
Family meant everything to Patrick, and he especially cherished time with his beloved grandson, Trenton. His legacy will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, his love of the open road, and his vibrant spirit.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Garcia, a son-in-law, Jesse Garcia, grandson, Trenton Garcia, all of Pocatello, Idaho. He is also survived by his sister , Bonita Faust of Northern California.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. A viewing will be held prior beginning at 1:00 pm.
