Shannon,

We are so shocked and heartbroken for you and your son. Patrick always waved hello whenever I'd see him outside, you guys are such nice neighbors. We are so sorry for this devastating loss of your husband, and your Son's Dad.

Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our nephew, Patrick. Losing him is heartbreak beyond words but loving him was one of life´s greatest gifts. We will honor him by remembering the joy he brought, which was in abundance; the love he shared, which touched every one of us; and the light he carried, which will never fade from our memories.

Though his time here was far too short, he accomplished so much. He lived a life of service and duty where his impact will last forever. We will carry him with us in the stories we tell, the moments we cherish, and the love that binds our family together.

The photo captures one of many proud moments when Patrick received a Medal of Valor from the City of Detroit early in his career, recognizing his heroic actions in the line of duty.

Until we see each other again. Hugs and love dear nephew.

Our grief is filled with great sadness for the loss of our dear nephew Patrick. For his dear wife Shannon and his son Jackson. For Patricks Dad, Moms, brother and sisters, along with everyone who loves Patrick. We now must count on all the great memories of our dear Patrick , his smiles , his kindness, laughter and most of all his caring soul. Patrick never left family gatherings without a hug and saying," I love you, that´s our Patrick. We are so grateful and proud we got to call this good man our nephew. Lucky us . You will always be in our hearts . .Uncle Doug and Aunt Melinda

I am so very sorry of the loss of Patrick. I have a grandson at engine 35. I can´t even imagine the pain of all his family and friends. I didn´t know Patrick but any DFD fire/rescue are brothers and sisters. My grandson was working on Sunday when they found out about Patrick. He also said all DFD radios did a couple minutes for the loss. God bless all family and friends

My sincerest Sympathy to all of the family and friends of Patrick. I didn´t know him, however, I knew Shannon from many years ago and was a friend and co-worker of Chris, Shannon´s mom. I hope, in time, the pain can be eased by reliving all the wonderful memories made with Patrick during his "too short" life. Prayers for all
