Patrick Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roger W Davis Funeral Home - West Portsmouth on Dec. 26, 2025.
William Patrick Williams, 50

William Patrick "Pat" Williams, 50, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on December 24, 2025, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by his kindness, laughter, and unwavering strength. He is preceded in death by his father William Roger Williams, and his son Steven Alan Arthur.

Pat was first and foremost a devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen; his loving sister, Melinda; his cherished daughters, Jordan and Madison; his mother, Patricia; and his treasured grandchildren - Keelie, Ky'Ah, King, Kairo, Hailie and Cleo - who brought him endless joy and pride. His doggy companion Chloe, who sat by him on countless days of fishing.

A forester and wildfire firefighter, Pat dedicated his life to protecting both people and the land he loved. Whether battling fires or tending forests, his work reflected his deep respect for nature and his commitment to keeping others safe.

Outside of work, Pat could most often be found fishing, spending time outdoors, and soaking in the simple moments that mattered most. He had a rare gift - he was patient, endlessly kind, and effortlessly became the life of the party wherever he went. He could raise the spirits of everyone in the room when he played his music. He loved to share his taste in music with his children and grandchildren. He faced life with courage and humor, never seeing himself as a victim, but always as someone who could rise, laugh, and keep moving forward.

Pat leaves behind more than memories - he leaves a legacy of love, resilience, and laughter that will continue to live in every story told, every family gathering, and every quiet moment by the water. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2 to 5:00 PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. A Celebration of Life will held immediately following the gathering of family and friends at his home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to SOMC Hospice. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
