Patrick "Pat" Wright

WRIGHT, Patrick "Pat" – of Clio, age 73, died Monday, December 1, 2025, at Cranberry Park of Clio. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cindy Dewar officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1PM until 8PM and Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Pat was born on November 12, 1952, in Flint, to the late Benjamin and Mary (Claud) Wright. He graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1970. For some time, Pat worked at the Genesee County Sheriff's Office on the Marine Patrol, and in 1979, he began his career at AC Spark Plug in Flint. He proudly retired from Delphi in 2006 after 27 years of employment. After retiring from General Motors, Pat worked at Classic Transport hauling RVs all over the United States and Canada. On April 29, 1971, he married Linda Diener, and together they shared 29 years of marriage. Linda preceded him in death in 2000. Pat was a member of the UAW Local 651, Coachman Car Club, Cruzin' Cycle Club, Harley Owners Club "HOG", the NRA, and the Clio Moose – however, he was most proud of being a volunteer police officer for the City of Clio Police Department. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling, and he always bragged about how he learned to fly an airplane in his younger years. He liked keeping up with the Kansas City Chiefs and playing softball in his spare time. Above all, Pat loved his family and spending time with them whenever possible.
Pat is forever remembered by: Daughter, Malissa Germundsen; Grandchildren: Chellsey (Tristan) Germundsen and Brandon (Rachel) Germundsen; Siblings: Fredric (Sharon) Wright and Ann Marie Wright; Nephews: Benjamin "Benjie" III and Tony; Niece, Heather; Lifelong friends: Scott Hoover and Bill Hetzer; Many great nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Pat was preceded in death by: Wife, Linda Wright; Parents, Benjamin and Mary; Siblings: Fran Wright and Benjamin "Butch" Jr.; Nephew, Troy Wright.
