Patsy Ruth Alexander

Patsy Ruth Alexander, 94, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Atrium Health Cleveland, Shelby, NC.
She was born December 21, 1929, in Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Lawrence Ewing and Estelle Traywick Herrin.
Patsy was a lifelong member of Goshen Presbyterian Church, Belmont, NC, where she was the church historian, and Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She was on the Family Support Group for the National Guard. She was also a poetry author, and retired at Pharr Yarns after 35 years. She loved her large family dearly, and loved the Lord most of all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Bud Alexander, Sr.; son, Billie Lee Alexander, Jr.; and sister, Barbara Herrin Mason.
Pasty is survived by her daughters, Ann Harkey (Roger), Gin Johnson (Gary), and Kathryn Payne (Dwayne); brother, James Jim Herrin; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Becky Herrin, Donna Spirlin, Robin Mason Tamberelli; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor James Almond, will be held 1pm, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Goshen Presbyterian Church - 380 Woodlawn St, Belmont, NC 28012.
Family will receive friends 12-1pm, at the church.
Burial will be private.
