SWOOPE - Patsy Annetti (Buzzard) Allison, 83, of 29 Trinity Point Rd., passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, in her home.
Patsy was born September 11, 1940, in Augusta County, the third of four daughters of the late Glen Edwin and Ollie Lee (Lessley) Buzzard. She graduated from Churchville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Mary Baldwin College.
She retired as business office manager for Augusta Health after a career as a business manager in various health systems in Virginia and Florida. Patsy was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Carl Allison; her grandson, Dalton Greenlee; one niece and five bothers-in-law. Surviving are two children, Mark Edward Harman of Swoope and Kimberly Suzanne Harman of Staunton; stepdaughter Karen Lee Allison of Staunton; sisters Betty Clinedinst of Covington, Glenna Fink of Swoope and Rebecca Park of Staunton; granddaughter Karrington Greenlee, great-grandson Grayson Greenlee; bother-in-law Donald Allison (Diane), several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 11am, Friday, June 28, 2024, in Green Hill Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Lester Kennedy. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church and at other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Harman, David Park, Rick Galway, Caleb Huggins, Darryl Bosserman, Ray Bosserman, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Fink, Harold Clifton, Libby Clifton, Dickie Thacker, Wayne Strickler, Glenda Botkin, Charlotte Riffo, Ann Huffer and Ed Jones.
Memorials may be directed to Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1016, Churchville, VA 24421.
