Patsy Ruth Anderson, 88, passed away peacefully September 28, 2025 after watching her favorite BYU Cougars win a close football game. She was born May 1, 1937 in
Ogden, Utah to Ralph and Erma Shupe Southwick. She lived in Utah, California (where she graduated from Willits High School), back to Utah, Idaho, Nevada, back to Idaho and finished her life in Utah.
Patsy married A. Bennett Anderson, May 27, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in several callings in Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's organizations, and supported her husband in his various callings. She held jobs in a clothing store, a fabric store, a bank, in an elementary school library, and as the "hot school lunch" lady. She also served as a PTA president.
Patsy enjoyed camping, singing, dancing, and acting in road shows and plays. She also loved cooking and was often found preparing meals for family gatherings and picnics. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Ralph (Laura) Anderson, Becky (Gaylen) Webb, Kyle (Christa) Anderson, Jillyn (Peter) Grieve; 24 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Ellis and one brother, Rodney Southwick. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; father, mother, and step-mother; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; one brother; and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 6, 2025 at 1 pm at the Ogden City Cemetery, 20th and Madison Ave. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church located at 3330 S. 4700 W., West Haven, Utah.
