Patsy A. Aromando, Sr., 83, of Sumner Avenue died Friday, December 12, 2025 at Quality Life Services in New Castle. He was born in New Castle on December 23, 1941, a son of the late Arsenio and Theresa (Cirella) Aromando. He was married to Barbara Ann (Rainey) Aromando on July 24, 1965, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Aromando was a butcher for Tarmain Co. in Youngstown, OH and Joseph’s Supermarket in New Castle retiring after 22 years. Patsy also worked for the New Castle Redevelopment Authority for a number of years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish – St. Vitus Church. Mr. Aromando was a veteran of the Army National Guard serving in the Vietnam Era. He played softball locally for the Iron Dukes, Klingensmith TV, and the Crescent Club softball teams and enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Patsy A. Aromando, Jr. and wife Paula and Christopher A. Aromando and wife Shannon, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, and Gianna.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte A. DelTorio.
There are no funeral services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
