DAVID DLUZYNSKI Obituary

age 76, born 08/31/1940, passed away 05/28/2017. David Alois Dluzynski, age 76 of Westfield Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 31, 1940 to Alois and Irene (nee Wojnicki) Dluzynski. David enjoyed a family history rich in ethnicity, stemming from upbringings in the Slavic Village neighborhood of East Cleveland. David's grandparents moved to the United States from Poland in 1870; his grandfather, Mathew Dluzynski, was considered one of the oldest pioneers in the city and helped contribute to the rich cultural growth along with other European migrants to the area. David graduated from Benedictine High School in 1958. After high school David received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Ohio University in 1963 where he was; and still is, a proud member of the Metro Athletic Club. David moved to Medina in 1973 and retired from Corrpro Companies at the age of 58 as Vice President; WaterWorks Division. After retirement David & Delcia travelled extensively and enjoyed their second home in The Villages, Florida during the winter months. David enjoyed watching and participating in his children's and grandchildren's interests of 4-H, football, baseball, soccer and any other activities that they participated in. David was a voracious reader, avid golfer, enjoyed landscaping and working on his property and was a life-long Cleveland & Ohio State University sports fan. David was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard and a 44 year member of AA who deeply treasured the friendships, triumphs and differences he helped to make along the way. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 53 years, Delcia (nee Gorzelanczyk); son, David (Allison); grandchildren, Zia, Caleb, Lily and son-in-law, Malcolm Quinn. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Laura Quinn. Friends may join the family for Visitation on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18). Just now reading about Dave's passing. RIP Dave. I still have the Bocce Balls you gave me int the late 1960's when I was living in Pittsburgh. (They must be purchased in an Italian market, right buddy?). We enjoyed the Browns and Steeler rivalry all in great fun. I miss you pal, even all these years gone by.

It's very evident that Mr. David Dluzynski was quite a remarkable individual. No doubt, he brought happiness to many. May all your many wonderful memories be cherished forever; and may you find solace in the Scriptures.--Psalms 145:14. A., OHIO

Satch was a man one could describe in just one word." Caring". He was always

concerned about the welfare of others. Mark 12:30-31 KJV.. describes the Satch Man

and his outlook. I was blessed to have known him as my friend.

Delcia and David,

"Satch" was more than our good friend. We shared too many good and sometimes trying times together. Our college years along with the Florida memories will stay in our hearts forever.

We loved him as we love both of you.
