Patsy Jolene Atkinson, 88, of Seagoville, TX went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2024. Patsy was born on November 23, 1935, to JW (Shorty) and Willie Sellers in Abilene, TX. She grew up in Hawley, just outside of Abilene, where she graduated from Hawley High School in 1953. Patsy was Brazos River raised, as the river ran right in front of her childhood farm. She lived on the farm picking cotton, pulling weeds and working the fields. In 1961 she moved to Seagoville, TX where she would raise her 4 children. Patsy worked several jobs to help provide for her family and children, but most of her time was spent with her family. She loved to cook and bake from scratch and had a green thumb, bringing any plant back to life. Patsy enjoyed dancing and singing, including singing for weddings and funerals. She was loved by her church family at The Rock Church in Seagoville, and spending time at the Senior Citizen Center in Seagoville with her friends. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Her parents, husband, Wayne Atkinson, siblings: Brenda Wyatt and Johnny Sellers, and great-grandson Paxton Nelson preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Debra Rhoades and husband Rickey, George Atkinson and wife Lesia, Randy Atkinson and wife Susan and Pamela Nevil and husband Ricky Lynn; grandchildren: Mary Thompson and husband Don, Tasha Atkinson, Trever Atkinson, Jeremy Rhoades and wife Michelle, Jered Rhoades and wife Luiciana, Crystal Nelson and husband Ed, Chasidy Nelson and husband Kenny; great grandchildren: Brennon Lynn, Jace, Roxy, Keegan, Jaycee, Mackenzie and husband Legend, Laci, Kyle; with one on the way, Harper and great-great grandchild, Teagan, siblings: Billie Sue McDonald and Jan Sellers; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly
