Patsy Yvonne Baca, 68, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe/Tesuque, New Mexico, went to be with our Lord on April 5, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 18, 1957, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Juan and Rosina Romero. Patsy spent her life rooted in the Santa Fe and Tesuque community where she loved so deeply.
Patsy dedicated over 25 years of service at the New Mexico Municipal League and was known for her dedication, compassion, and willingness to help others.
Patsy had a quiet strength and a warm, listening heart. She was always there for her family—offering comfort, understanding, and unwavering support. She will be remembered for her kindness, her listening ear, and the deep love she had for her entire family.
She found joy in the simple moments, especially time spent at home, surrounded by loved ones. She held a special love for her hometown of Tesuque.
Patsy devoted all her life to her family and is survived by her mother, Rosina Romero, children, Patrick Baca (Valerie Baros), Lawrence Baca (Maya Otero), Vincent Baca (Marcella Ortiz), and Jacob Baca. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Patrick Baca Jr. (Laureen), Angelo Baca, Mariah Baca, Ethan Baca, Elliana Baca, Isabella Baca, and her beloved great-grandchildren, Leneah, Sophia and Messiah Baca. Siblings, John Romero (Larri), Mark Romero (Velma), Anna Eccles (Scott), Becky Martinez (Dale), Chris Romero (Thao), Steve Romero (Cassandra), Rick Romero (Melissa), Donald Romero, Bernadette Jaramillo (Vince) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patsy is preceded in death by her father, Juan D. Romero and daughter, Isabella J. Baca.
Our amazing mother will be greatly missed. We love her and will always carry her with us and in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, on Friday, April 17 in Santa Fe. Rosary will be at 10:00am with mass to follow at 10:30am. Burial will be held at Tesuque Church/Cemetery after the conclusion of mass.
Reception will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E), 833 Early St. Santa Fe, NM at 2pm.
