Obituary published on Legacy.com by Merkle Funeral Service, Inc. - North Monroe from Jul. 16 to Jul. 17, 2025.
Patsy Evans was born in
Monroe, Michigan on February 24, 1956. She was one of three children born from the union of Arnold and Margie (Schmidt) Evans.
Patsy fell in love with the thrill of vacations. Her heart was set ablaze by the rhythm of Carnival cruises, especially those that set sail toward the vibrant shores of Mexico and the Bahamas. Yet, her love for exploration was not confined to exotic destinations. Patsy found great joy in the simple yet thrilling experience of garage sales and flea markets.
Aside from travels and treasures, Patsy cherished the serenity of nature. She and her family regularly pitched a tent or unfolded their pop-up camper in the towns of Tawas and Oscoda. There, under a canopy of stars, she felt at peace with the universe.
Her family was central to her life, and she held a special place in her heart for two of her grandsons: Devin and Dakota. Patsy was a woman who believed in the little rituals that brought people together. Every summer, she would gather her family for a HOBO dinner. It was a beloved tradition where they would enjoy hearty, homemade meals, surrounded by stories and laughter.
Morning routines were sacred to Patsy. Her day would not truly start without a daily visit to Circle K for a refreshing Pepsi. It was the little burst of energy and joy she needed to start her day with a smile.
