Patsy Boyette
February 10, 1943 – November 5, 2025
La Grange – Patsy Gray Ginn Boyette, 82, entered into Glory and the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family at her home.
Patsy was born on February 10, 1943, in Wayne County, North Carolina, to the late Raymond and Ruby Gray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Jesse Raymond Gray, William Michael Gray, Treva Gray, Jackie Gray Mewborn, and Ellen Gray West.
Patsy faced Alzheimer's disease with strength and grace for more than seven years, during which time her loving husband, Mike, cared for her faithfully at home until her final breath.
A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Patsy took great pride in her family and home. She instilled in her sons the values of respect, self-discipline, and integrity. Known for her elegance and meticulous nature, Patsy always kept her home spotless and was never seen without looking her best-every outfit perfectly pressed and every detail just right. She found joy in shopping and cooking, and her family will forever cherish her famous Pound Cakes, Swiss Chocolate Cakes, and Lemon Bars.
Patsy was a faithful member of Bethel Fellowship Church on Hood Swamp Road in La Grange, NC, where she served on several committees, sang in the Bethel Choir, participated in the Women's Group, and shared her beautiful voice as part of the Bethel Trio Singing Group.
A 1961 graduate of New Hope High School and voted "Most Athletic" her senior year, Patsy dedicated over 34 years to General Electric Company before retiring. She later worked part-time with Respicare DME, continuing her strong work ethic and caring spirit.
Patsy was first married to Ira Lee Ginn, with whom she shared 32 years and two beloved sons, Michael and Jeff. She later found love again and married Michael Boyette on November 26, 1994.
A service of love and remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Rouse Funeral Home, with Pastors Joseph Franklin and John Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Committal will follow in Fairview Cemetery, La Grange.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Ginn (Retha) and Jeff Ginn (Jamie, deceased); grandchildren, Taylor Ginn (Sara), Scott Ginn (Lauren), Chad Ginn (Alyssa), Jacob Ginn, Haley Ginn Darden, and Gracie Ginn; and great-grandchildren, Hadley Ginn, Miller Kate Ginn, Olivia Ginn, Brooks Ginn, Oakley Ginn, Stafford Ginn, Emma Ruth Darden, and Mary Elizabeth Darden.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Brenda Gray Perry and Eula Gray; brother-in-law, Danny Boyette (Wendy); and her cherished "bonus family": stepdaughter, Michelle Mitchell; step-granddaughter, Jessica Riggs (Michael); and step-great-grandsons, Braxton Hill, Sawyer Riggs, and Sullivan Riggs.
Patsy was blessed with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members whom she dearly loved and took great pride in.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Gentiva Hospice-especially aide Bridget ("Sunshine"), whose warmth and gentle care brought light to each morning, and nurse Kelly, whose compassion and support brought comfort to Patsy and her family. Deep appreciation is also given to all the Gentiva Hospice nurses, aides, pastors, social workers, and staff for their exceptional kindness and dedication during this difficult time.
