On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Patsy Jo Hunsinger Bradley, of Forest City, passed away at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. She was 76 years old.
Patsy was born in Shelby, North Carolina on January 4, 1949 to the late Johney Franklin Hunsinger and Ava Nell Martin Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Norman.
Her career spanned many years in the textile industry where she was employed as a spinner. She was also a gifted seamstress. She brought joy and warmth to her family through her exceptional cooking skills. Patsy’s meals were a highlight for her loved ones, and her family will forever cherish the memories of gathering around the table to enjoy her delicious dishes.
Known to her family and friends as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Patsy lived a life centered around those she loved most. Above all, Patsy's proudest accomplishments were her family ties. She found happiness in spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Always family-oriented, she created countless cherished moments that will be remembered by those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Lee Bradley, Sr.; her children, Johnny Louis Wiley, Ava Lynn Wilson (Timothy), and Jerry Lee Bradley, Jr.; two grandchildren, Michael Christopher Wiley and Katelyn Nicole Wiley; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Kane Wiley and Grace Kinley Wiley; one great-great-grandchild, Griffin Scott Wiley; and one sister, Vera Winstead (Anthony).
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Tabernacle in Ruth with Rev. Joe Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
