Patsy Brewer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woodridge Memorial Park & Funeral Home - Lexington on Dec. 19, 2024.
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beloved Brewer matriarch. In 89 years, Mama B/Mama Pat raised six boys and loved 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The daughter of William Allen Meade and Mary Thelma May, Patsy Jo Meade, was born on October 15, 1935, in Columbia, SC.
Patsy served in accounting and personnel management for multiple higher education institutions throughout the Midlands, including Richland Technical Education Center, Midlands Technical College, and the State Technical College system.
As a long time member of First Baptist Church of Lexington, Patsy was an active part of the women's ministry until her health declined. It was her greatest wish that all of her family would know and love the Lord, as she had throughout her life.
The mother of six sons, Patsy invested her heart in Tom, Jeanette, and Thomas of Columbia, South Carolina; Al, Brooks, Price, and Mackenzie of Columbia, South Carolina; Larry, Cindy, Coles, and Catlin of Columbia, South Carolina; Joe, Debra, Ali, and Will of Blair, South Carolina; Rick, Jessie, and Katie of Reidsville, North Carolina; and Burts, Susan, Parker, Taylor, and Luke of Bluffton, South Carolina.
On November 22, 2024, Mama B joined her beloved son Al, her daughter-in-law Susan, grandsons Richard Jr. and Parker, and great-grandson Will in heaven.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Wellhaven Home Care and Lexington Community Hospice House for their unwavering support of both Mama B and her family in the last few months.
The loss of her grace, kindness, and generosity will be felt deeply by all who loved her.
A Memorial Service for Patsy Brewer will be held at First Baptist Church of Lexington on January 11 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Mission Lexington SC or the charity of your choice in her honor.
