Patsy Inez Brewer, age 87, of Cornelia, passed into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, October 9, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on March 16, 1938, in Clarkesville, Patsy was a gentle, bright light to everyone who knew her. She spent most of her life in Cornelia, where she created a home filled with warmth, love, and the scent of something always cooking.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Patsy had a caregiver’s heart, working 23 years at Scenic View in Baldwin, where her kindness and compassion touched many.
A faithful member of Level Grove Baptist Church, Patsy’s love for the Lord guided her every day. For 13 years, she opened her home for Bible study, sharing her faith and encouragement with friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Telford Brewer; her son, Donny Brewer; and her sister, Juanita Holden.
She is survived by her children: Frank Ridlehoover, Becky Gibson (Rob), Vicki Vinson, Lynell Wade (Kenneth), and Charles Brewer (Louise); her grandchildren: Matthew Gibson (Erin), Tyler Vinson (Tiffany), Trey Gibson (Ansley), Ally Sosebee (Tim), Cory Ridlehoover, Stewart Ridlehoover, Chad Wade (Debbie), and Jill Barrett (Grady); her great-grandchildren: JJ Sosebee, Raelynn Colson, Clay Rhoades, Ireland Rhoades, Zack Wade (Chelsie), and Kierstan Ridlehoover; her nieces: Gail Stallings and Sabra Reece; and Brad Brown, a special presence in the family’s life for many years.
Funeral services are 2pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. Terry Rice, Mr. Keith Chambers and Rev. Connie Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until the service hour on Saturday, at the funeral home.
