Patsy A. Brewer, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on August 12, 1953, in Nederland, Texas, Patsy's life was a testament to family devotion and community service, marked by a warmth and kindness that touched all who knew her.
A devoted employee of the Orange County Tax Office for ten years, Patsy served her community with utmost dedication and professionalism. Her career was distinguished not only by her diligence but by the genuine care she extended to those she assisted. Beyond her professional contributions, Patsy was best known for the joy and love she expressed in spoiling her grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply.
Patsy’s personality was defined by her profound love for her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was known for her gentle spirit and her passion for shopping, an interest that brought her simple pleasures and often, laughter and stories shared with friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristy Byers, and her husband, Morris, of Orange; her cherished grandchildren, Emma Byers and Landon Byers of Orange; and her two brothers, Phillip Kingston and his wife, Susan of Fannett, and Gordon Kingston and his wife, Cindy of Nederland. Patsy’s enduring legacy is also carried forward through the love and memories treasured by her family.
Patsy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Mark Brewer, whose companionship and partnership were cornerstones of her life. She was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Lou Ella Kingston, who instilled in her the values that she so faithfully lived.
Family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on April 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home located at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas. The funeral service will be held the following day, April 16, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the same location, with a graveside service being held at Memory Gardens in Nederland, Texas
