Patsy Brown

Patsy Brown, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, September 16, 2024, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Brushy Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating.
Ms. Brown was born January 1, 1937, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Reason & Esther Mae Hurt Mixon. She was a switchboard operator for Ocilla Hospital and a homemaker. Ms. Brown loved plants, animals and she was a great cook. She loved her family, especially her grandson Jake, who was her pride and joy. Ms. Brown was a member of Arbor Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir with her husband Gene.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Brown Weinberg & Jeff of Fernandina Beach, Florida; a grandson: Jake Bankston & Ellen Frances Bankston of Commerce, Georgia; sister-in-law: Sandra Purvis; nieces and nephews: Lisa Mcrae, Debbie Yarbrough, Dana Schell, Jennifer Harper, and Greg Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gene Brown and a brother, Lorie Mixon.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
