Patsy Ann Thomas Bruner, age 83, of Jakin, GA, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bruner will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Chapman and Dr. Johnny Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Gary Turner, Greg Turner, Shane Saunders, Tony Bruner, Jackie Frith, and Bubba Weeks serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church.
Mrs. Bruner was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 25, 1942, to Alvin Thomas and Jessie Watts Thomas. She was a school bus driver for over 20 years with the Early County School System. She loved working in her flower beds and taking all the pictures at family gatherings. She was also a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, David Bruner and wife Kim of Blakely, GA, Kevin Bruner of Jakin, GA, and Darryl Bruner of Jakin, GA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips (Brent) of Blountstown, FL and Clint Bruner (Brantley) of Panama City, FL; and her great grandchildren, Jaxson Phillips of Blountstown, FL and Georgia James Bruner of Panama City, FL. She is also survived by a special daughter, Lisa Murphree (Ken) of Jakin, GA; and a special son, Chad Gibson of Jakin, GA.
The family would also like to thank two very special nurses, Halie Kirksey and Yanita Merritt for all their care. Also, her special sitters, Willie Mae Reed and Annie Stringer.
Mrs. Bruner was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Thomas and Jessie Watts Thomas; her husband; Ronald Coleman Bruner; her brothers, Alton Thomas, Luther Thomas, Eugene Thomas; and her sister, Jeanette Johnson.
