Patsy Anita Brannon Burnett of Clanton, Alabama, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 4, 1961, and was the daughter of Dr. Ralph Brannon and Muriel Brannon.
Patsy was a woman whose life was centered around Christ, and that love overflowed into everything she did. She was a faithful member of West End Baptist Church, where she found joy singing in the choir. Her faith was not just something she spoke about it was something she lived daily, guiding her family with grace, strength, and unwavering belief.
She retired from Martin Funeral Home, where she served others with compassion and care. In retirement, Patsy embraced one of her greatest joys: traveling. With her best friend, Ruth, she set a goal to become a Carnival Diamond Cruiser, a milestone she proudly achieved on her 25th cruise in March 2026.
Patsy had a gentle strength about her and a way of bringing peace to those around her. No matter the situation, she carried a simple but powerful motto: “It’ll all work out.” Those words were more than a saying. They were a reflection of her faith, her optimism, and her trust in God’s plan.
Her legacy lives on in the faith she instilled, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her three sons, Brannon (Misty) Burnett, Nick (Megan) Burnett, and Zac (Holly) Burnett; her brother, Phillip Brannon of Alabaster, Alabama; and her sister, Laura (Jeff) Sorrells of Hartford, Alabama. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colt, Natalie, Madi, and Owen Burnett; Aleena Austin; Macie Driskell; and Madison (Gage) Atcheson; and her great-grandson, Tate Atcheson.
She is also survived by her niece, Jamie (Josh) Deason of Montgomery, Alabama; and her nephews, Logan (Jacey) Sorrells and Grant (Magen) Sorrells, both of Hartford, Alabama.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ralph Brannon and Muriel Brannon; her brother, Jimmy Ralph Brannon; and her grandson, Walker Wayne Burnett.
