Patsy Dixon Callahan

Patsy Dixon Callahan, 83, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at her home. Patsy was born in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Alvin Dixon and Pantha Thompson Dixon on May 27, 1939. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Nelson H. Callahan and brother, James Marvin Dixon.
Working as a real estate broker for many years, Patsy served many families through her career with Walker Real Estate and Better Homes and Gardens in Goldsboro. Actively involved in the congregation of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, she faithfully served the Lord through membership with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
A graveside service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Patsy is survived by her daughters, Carol Lynn Callahan and spouse, Julie of Goldsboro and Renee C. Edge and spouse, Randy of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Dillon Edge and Peyton Edge; and a special nephew, Ben Simpson.
