My mother brought fun and beauty and hard work and love and sweetness and a wonderful sense of humor to our world. She taught us love and respect and kindness and dignity through her acts of thoughtfulness and compassion for others. She lit up our lives. Her gift of compassion lifted up the smallest of our everyday struggles. She was an amazing person and a magnificent mother and she made us better by her example.
I love you, Mom. I miss you very much. I know the joy a mother can bring to her family because that is what you did for us and we are lucky to have had you teach us that and so much more that was good and true.

The first time I met Patsy is when she walked across the street to give me a bouquet of beautiful flowers. As a newly wed now living on the same street that made me very happy. We hugged and that sealed our many years of friendship with both she and her wonderful family. I will always treasure her kindness, beauty, and radiant smile.
