Mrs. Patsy Shelton Carter

Mrs. Patsy Shelton Carter, age 89, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was born June 4, 1934 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. Rayford Shelton and Mrs. Georgia Camp Shelton. She was a graduate of Dallas High School Class of 1952. She was married to Mr. Thomas Frank Carter for 58 years prior to his passing. She worked for 25 years as a nurse for Dr. D. A. Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and neighbor to all.
Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by: Husband, Mr. Tom Carter; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rayford (Georgia) Shelton; Daughter in Law, Mrs. Mary Ann Carter; Sisters, Mrs. Alma Vanek, Mrs. Ruby Crew, Mrs. Christine Chasteen, Mrs. Naomi Smith, Mrs. Dorothy Barber and Mrs. Joan Palmer; Brother, Mr. Horace Shelton.
Patsy is survived by her sons, Jeff Carter, Greg Carter; grandchildren, Maria Warhop (Bill); Clay Carter (Leighann), David Carter, Heather Wilkes (Tyler); great grandchildren, Lydia Wilkes, Liam Wilkes; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Patsy Carter will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts will officiate. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
