Patsy Ruth Chesser, 90, of Katy, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026.
Patsy was born on October 19, 1935, in Temple, Texas, to Avery Dell Gregory and Nadine Gregory. She was raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School. Shortly after graduation, Patsy began her forty-year career at Scott & White Hospital, where she served with pride and dedication. Above all, she cherished her role within her family and took great pride in caring for her home.
On June 21, 1957, Patsy married her beloved husband, Clyde Odell Chesser. Together they built a life rooted in commitment, faith, and family. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in taking care of those she loved. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and steady guidance.
She was known for her quiet strength, her steady presence, and her unwavering love for her family. Patsy valued tradition, took pride in her family’s accomplishments, and cherished time spent together. Whether through simple daily routines or meaningful milestones, she showed her love in consistent and dependable ways.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Avery and Nadine Gregory, and her husband, Clyde Chesser.
She is survived by her sons, Tim Chesser and Jody Chesser; her granddaughter, Brittany Janovsky; her brother, David Gregory; and her sister, Nadale Edds. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion that will continue through her family.
Burial will take place at Bellwood Cemetery.
