Patsy Ruth Christian

Patsy Ruth (White) Christian, age 83, of Marion, passed away at the Marion General Hospital, on January 3, 2026. Patsy was born in Clincho, VA., to the late Obsby Elbert and Minnie Victoria (Wilborn) White on May 18, 1942. On April 22, 1967, Patsy would marry the love of her life, Henry "Bob" Robert Christian, and the two would remain married until his passing in 2019.

Patsy was the daughter of a coal miner and did her part in helping raise her siblings. Patsy loved to sew and was best known for her handmade curtains and doylies. She enjoyed watching Big Time Wrestling and Jon Cena was her favorite wrestler. Despite of love of wrestling she did move away from it when she became a member or the Orton St. Baptist Church. She loved attending church and when she could not make it for Sunday's service she would watch Christian television. Patsy also loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family.

Left to Cherish the memory of Patsy are daughter, Tenia Ann (Willard McCoy) Christian, grandchildren, Justin Hughes, Micheal Hughes, Kyle McCoy and Tiffany McCoy, Trey McCoy great-grandchildren, Justin Hughes Jr., Kali Ritchie, Lilly Ritchie, Zander McCoy and Ellie McCoy along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded id death by, brothers Jack, Jessie, Lonnie, Bill, and James White, and sisters Joan "Joe" Holt, and Lois White.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation of Patsy on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Boyd Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be taking place the Following day January 15, 2026, at 1:30pm at the Grand Prairie Cemetery, with Pastor Tim Holt officiating. There will be a meal after the funeral at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church.
