Mrs. Patsy Vaden Claytor - Age 84 of Nashville,TN passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 after a brief illness. Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rex Dean Claytor and her sister, Jeannette Romani. She is survived by her children, Steven Claytor, Bryan Claytor (Carol Fletcher), Rex Keith Claytor, and Jennifer Claytor, and by her sister Delores Teeple.

Patsy graduated from Cohn High School in 1959 and worked as a bookkeeper. Perhaps her favorite job was at the daycare. Many of the kids she kept 20 years ago still stayed in touch with "Ms Patsy". Patsy was the youngest of three girls and they spent happy hours together -- traveling to garage sales, going to the casino, and celebrating all the holidays. She loved going to the Great Smoky Mountains with her family. Patsy loved her kids AND her dogs, Ted, Abby, and Rodney. On Thanksgiving night, she turned on the Christmas music radio channel and it played non-stop until after Christmas. She loved setting up her Christmas village and decorating for the holidays. Patsy loved to bake...fudge pies, coconut cakes, chess pies and she was meticulous about decorating her baked goods. Patsy never failed to visit, or send flowers, food, or a card when someone was sick or having a hard time. She was a second mom to all of her kids' friends. In the last few years, she kept busy selling collectibles on Facebook Marketplace and playing Bubblewitch. Patsy enjoyed sitting in her deck garden with the fountain and twinkle lights, watching the birds and squirrels, and feeding the deer who came to her door at dusk.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at West Harpeth funeral home, Nashville, TN., from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening, with a memorial service to follow until 8 o'clock in the evening. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Store Food Bank or to the charity of your choice.
