Patsy Clevenger Obituary
Born February 13, 1950, in Chambersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lee Edward Straley and Jeannett Elizabeth Timmons.
Patsy graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1968, and married Charles L. Clevenger on May 31, 1968. She enjoyed reading, sewing, making flowering arrangements, going to yard sales, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and a charitable person.
Patsy attended West Side Brethren in Christ Church in Chambersburg, and Brandt's Church of God in Mercersburg.
Patsy is survived by her son, Anthony (Vallen) Clevenger, a grandson, Scott (Logan) Clevenger, a granddaughter, Tesla (Michael) McCullough, and 4 great-grandchildren, Payton Keefer, Lee Keefer, Kevin Keefer, and Aliyah Shaw, and 3 siblings, William (Virginia) Straley, Nancy Hawbaker, and Armatha (Charles) Wright.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Clevenger (2024), and brother-in-law, David Hawbaker.
A viewing will be 6:00-8:00PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, at Fries Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hawbaker officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service, and burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.
